What You'll Do
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working at the intersection of treasury, banking, accounting, and business operations?
As a Treasury Analyst, you'll play an important role in supporting the firm's treasury, cash management, and partner accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build expertise in treasury operations while gaining exposure to financial analysis, banking relationships, insurance administration, cash forecasting, and partner-related financial programs. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the firm, contribute to critical financial processes, and help ensure the efficient management of cash and treasury activities.
• Cash Management & Analysis: Support daily cash administration activities, monitor cash positions, and contribute to cash flow analysis and forecasting efforts.
• Treasury Operations: Verify and process wire transfers and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments, ensuring proper approvals, coding, and compliance with internal controls.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and record journal entries related to treasury activities and support accurate financial recordkeeping.
• Borrowing & Liquidity Support: Assist with borrowing cost analysis, financial modeling, and recommendations related to financing strategies.
• Insurance Administration: Support the management of non-benefit insurance programs, including Property/Casualty, General Liability, and Workers' Compensation policies, annual renewals, claims coordination, certificates of insurance, and premium payments.
• Partner Financial Programs: Assist with highly confidential partner compensation arrangements, loan documentation, and related financial processes.
• Credit Facility Management: Help administer the firm's credit agreement, including monthly reporting requirements and Letters of Credit.
• Partner Capital Accounting: Reconcile partner capital accounts, review interest calculations for capital and cash flow loans, and prepare quarterly interest deduction upload files.
• Project Support: Participate in treasury-related initiatives and special projects that enhance operational efficiency and financial management.
What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required; with 1-2 years of experience in a audit, accounting, finance, or treasury/cash management role in a law firm or professional services industry, showing progressive growth in responsibilities
• Financial Acumen: Understanding of finance, banking, insurance, and accounting concepts, with the ability to analyze information and support informed business decisions.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with commercial banking platforms and Treasury Management Systems is a plus.
• Systems Knowledge: Experience with Coupa and Elite 3E is preferred.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy when managing financial transactions, reconciliations, and confidential information.
• Communication & Ownership: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Customer Service Mindset: A collaborative approach, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Compensation
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. Compensation Range:
Chicago: $80,000 - $95,000
