Overview:
Assist MDOT system designers and operators implement and manage best practices to secure the evolving intelligent transportation backbone of the State of Michigan. Evaluate current systems and make recommendations for improving the security posture to protect the transportation infrastructure from cyber security threats of all kinds. Assist in the selection, development, and implementation of systems and monitoring tools that focus on transport cybersecurity. Serve as a clearinghouse for issues as they arise.

Skill Required/Desired Amount of Experience Experience in Information Technology Required 10 Years Experience in IT Security, securing multi-layered networks with multiple communication protocols and network Required 5 Years Experience conducting Security Risk Assessments, Audits/related activities, working across multiple disciplines to develop an IT Security & Risk Man Required 5 Years In-depth knowledge and practical application of nationally-recognized security frameworks; i.e. CIS Controls, NIST Required 5 Years Experience with internet of things (IoT) security Required 3 Years Available to travel to various regions within Michigan to meet with stakeholders and partners. Required 3 Years Experience in IT, security or management consulting Desired 3 Years Experience in Vulnerability Scanning and Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing & Remediation Desired 3 Years Experience with Security (SIEM) tools (to provide a foundation while gaining experience with connected vehicle /intelligent transportation systems Desired 3 Years Experience developing and implementing security policies in an enterprise environment.
