Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join
The Liver Institute at our flagship campus in Dallas, TX to work collaboratively with our team of physicians.
This position is ideal for a motivated, compassionate provider to provide comprehensive care for patients who are in need of a liver transplant.
This outpatient position will focus on surgical support, pre- and post-operative management, patient education, and continuity of care. The APP will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes and supporting the overall growth of our transplant team.
Position Highlights:- Full time position to provide outpatient care under physician supervision, including new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and post-operative management
- Manage patient care plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide patient/family education
- Collaborate closely with transplant surgeons, nursing staff, and other care team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Monday - Friday, 8a-5p
- No call/weekends
Required Qualifications:- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Texas
- Active Texas medical license
- Bilingual preferred, but not required
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of in a complex environment: ICU, Transplant/Transplant floor, multi specialty experience
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
