Transition Deployment Lead to join our team. This role offers
remote flexibility, with the potential for either a hybrid or fully remote arrangement depending on final operational needs, alongside periodic travel for key meetings and projects.
The
Transition Deployment Lead in Healthcare IT will own operational transitions, site readiness, and cutover strategies across Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs). In this role, you will direct multi-site deployment activities, manage concurrent go-lives, and coordinate facility-level readiness across clinical, IT, and biomedical engineering stakeholders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Lead VISN sequencing, site-readiness assessments, go-live planning, and cutover execution across multi-site enterprise environments.
- Direct concurrent deployment control and coordinate facility-level operational readiness across clinical, IT, and biomedical engineering stakeholders.
- Develop and execute documented site-readiness methodologies, downtime management procedures, and cutover strategies to ensure uninterrupted clinical operations.
- Establish parallel operations frameworks, contingency protocols, and structured rollback planning for complex healthcare IT deployments.
- Drive active facility engagement and align local clinical leads, leadership, and technical teams on deployment timelines and operational milestones.
- Oversee modality and site-readiness coordination to ensure underlying infrastructure, clinical workstations, and biomedical devices meet deployment prerequisites.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline with 10+ years of healthcare IT experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated track record leading clinical system go-lives across multiple healthcare facilities.
- Documented experience establishing site-readiness methodologies, cutover planning, and parallel operations in multi-site clinical environments.
- Proven expertise leading facility engagement and collaborating directly with clinical, IT, and biomedical engineering stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience developing risk mitigation strategies, operational downtime plans, and rollback procedures for critical healthcare infrastructure.
- Demonstrated operational awareness of clinical modality integration, site prerequisites, and facility infrastructure readiness.
Preferred Qualifications:- Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) certification or equivalent clinical engineering credential.
- Direct experience managing healthcare system rollouts within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or VISN operational frameworks.
- Technical familiarity with enterprise clinical imaging workflows, PACS, VNA, and biomedical equipment integration.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional deployment teams across geographically dispersed facilities under compressed project schedules.
Clearance Requirements:- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Veterans Affairs Moderate Risk Background Investigation (BI) or Public Trust clearance.
Physical Requirements:- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside office and clinical settings to engage with site leadership and observe facility readiness.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and government stakeholders, which may involve delivering site-readiness briefings; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $109,000.00-$181,500.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
