Full Job Description
Trader for a Discretionary Macro Team Focused on High Yield/Stressed/Distressed Credit

What you'll do
  • Work with the portfolio manager on electronic and non-electronic execution of all credit trades.
  • Maintain strong relationships with a broad set of liquidity providers.
  • Analyze new issues and maintain relationships with syndicate desks.
  • Be responsible for position maintenance (e.g., CDS rolls) and liaise with Investment Services teams on corporate actions.
  • Conduct research on things such as transaction cost analysis and broker/algorithm evaluation.

What's REQUIRED
  • 3+ years of work experience as a credit trader in corporate bonds or CDS.
  • Experience with OMS/EMS platforms such as MarketAxess and TradeWeb.
  • A team player and collaborative mentality.
  • Understanding of order lifecycle from order generation to booking and TCA.
  • Keen intuition for markets and a passion for studying them.
  • Intellectual curiosity, tenacity, and the ability and willingness to proactively communicate potential operations risks.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.
