Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; master's preferred.
• Licensed P.Eng. in Ontario or eligible for licensure.
• Minimum 5 years of traction power engineering experience in rail or transit systems.
• Deep understanding of AREMA, CSA, EN, IEEE, and associated standards.
• Skilled in traction power modeling tools and system analysis software.
• Experience in multidisciplinary environments and large-scale transit projects.
• Excellent technical writing skills for reports, analyses, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct AC and DC traction power studies, analyzing load flow and fault conditions.
• Interpret study results to inform technical decisions and maintain compliance with standards.
• Prepare, review, and validate engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Develop grounding and bonding designs that meet safety regulations.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to DC stray current and EMI/EMC.
• Collaborate across multiple disciplines for integrated system design solutions.
• Participate in constructability reviews and multidisciplinary design assessments.
