Full Job Description

Broadridge is seeking a Technology Risk Director to join our growing Technology Risk organization. This role will support the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of technology risks across infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, cybersecurity, data, and emerging technologies.  The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with a risk management mindset and an understanding of modern technology environments. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, architecture, and business teams to ensure technology risks are effectively identified, assessed, and managed.

Responsibilities

Technology Risk Management

  • Conduct technology risk assessments across infrastructure, applications, cloud platforms, and technology services.
  • Identify technology risks, control gaps, and potential business impacts.
  • Evaluate inherent and residual risks and support risk treatment planning.
  • Monitor and track technology risk remediation activities through closure.
  • Support Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and technology risk governance activities.

Technology Governance & Risk Oversight

  • Partner with technology teams to ensure risks are appropriately identified, documented, and managed.
  • Review new technology initiatives, architecture changes, and strategic programs from a risk perspective.
  • Provide effective challenge and independent risk perspectives on technology decisions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of technology risk policies, standards, and governance processes.

Cloud, Infrastructure & Application Risk

  • Assess risks associated with cloud environments, infrastructure platforms, applications, and technology operations.
  • Review identity and access management, resilience, availability, data protection, and security controls from a risk perspective.
  • Evaluate risks associated with modern architectures including APIs, microservices, containers, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Support technology resilience and recovery risk assessments.

Emerging Technology & AI Risk

  • Support governance and risk assessments for Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI solutions.
  • Evaluate risks related to data privacy, model governance, explainability, security, and responsible AI practices.
  • Monitor emerging technology trends and assess associated risk implications.
  • Assist in developing risk management approaches for emerging technologies and innovation initiatives.

Automation & Continuous Risk Monitoring

  • Leverage automation and analytics to improve technology risk identification and monitoring.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting, and risk metrics using tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar technologies.
  • Support continuous monitoring capabilities for key technology risk indicators.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline risk processes through automation and AI-enabled solutions.

Risk Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
  • Support development of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and technology risk metrics.
  • Communicate technology risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with global technology, cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise risk teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Technology Risk, Information Security, Technology Governance, Cyber Risk, Cloud Risk, Infrastructure Engineering, Technology Operations, or related disciplines.
  • Experience working within large-scale enterprise technology environments.
  • Experience assessing risks associated with cloud, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, or technology transformation initiatives.

Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of several of the following areas:

  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Infrastructure and platform technologies
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Cybersecurity principles and controls
  • Networking and distributed systems
  • Application development and SDLC
  • DevOps and CI/CD practices
  • Databases and data management
  • Technology resilience and disaster recovery
  • APIs, containers, and microservices architectures

Automation & Analytics

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Python
  • SQL
  • Power BI
  • Power Automate
  • Tableau
  • Data analytics and reporting platforms

AI & Emerging Technology Knowledge

  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI technologies.
  • Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI principles, and technology risk implications.
  • Awareness of emerging technology trends and associated risk management considerations.

Frameworks & Standards

Familiarity with technology risk and cybersecurity frameworks such as:

  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • NIST AI Risk Management Framework
  • COBIT
  • CIS Controls
  • FFIEC Technology Risk Guidance
  • ISO 27001

Certifications (Preferred)

One or more of the following:

  • CRISC
  • CISA
  • CISSP
  • CISM
  • AWS or Azure Certifications
  • Security+
  • Microsoft AI Fundamentals (AI-900)
  • COBIT Foundation

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $150,000. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, location and education.
