Technical Writer
Candidate must have or be willing to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Key Tasks:
s Responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
s Writes and edits technical documentation for related to the CMS Target Lifecycle to include documentation such as requirements, help, training, and user guides.
s Work with developers to produce quality documentation and training materials
s Research highly technical subject matter, organizes information from multiples sources, and express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers
s Provide expert oversight of technical writing and editing technical documentation for the Program, Project, or Contract
Required Skills:
s 7+ years' experience as a Technical Writer
s Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
s Experience with authoring accurate content (SOPs, high level presentations, knowledge base articles, user communications)
Desired Skills:
s JIRA/Confluence
s Create, manage and maintain processes where required
s Metrics and reporting
Required Education / Certifications:
s Bachelor's Degree in a related major
The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is 100,000 to 120,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
