The Opportunity:
Our client, a leading industrial solutions provider, is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist - Pressure Management to join their team in Western Canada. This role is ideal for a strategic, highly technical professional with a strong background in pressure protection who thrives on delivering complex solutions and driving portfolio growth. Acting as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Safety Relief Valves and additional pressure management portfolio, you will support Account Managers and Inside Sales teams while partnering directly with manufacturers to execute high-level growth strategies.
What You'll Be Doing:
Act as the advanced technical authority and primary SME for Safety Relief Valves and broader pressure management solutions.
Lead the technical strategy for complex opportunities, major projects, competitive displacements, and strategic customer pursuits.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing guidance, training, application support, and product recommendations to Account Managers and Inside Sales teams.
Develop, communicate, and execute the growth strategy for the pressure management portfolio.
Create and present professional reports, market analyses, business reviews, and pipeline summaries directly to manufacturer partners.
Leverage internal tools like CRM and Power BI to track project progress, quote activity, and manage the opportunity pipeline.
Enhance industry credibility by delivering seminars, training, and customer-facing technical support for engineers, operations teams, and maintenance groups.
Travel regularly throughout Western Canada for customer site visits, training, manufacturer meetings, and industry events.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
7+ years of experience in pressure management, safety relief valves, pressure control, instrumentation, process engineering, or technical sales.
Deep understanding of pressure relief applications and relevant industry codes, including ASME and API standards.
Proven ability to support complex applications, execute major projects, and deliver compelling technical and manufacturer-facing presentations.
Strong commercial acumen to understand customer business drivers, margin expectations, and competitive positioning.
Advanced reporting and analytical capabilities, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Power BI, and CRM systems.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear customer value.
Ability and willingness to travel regularly across Western Canada and conduct site visits requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).
Compensation Range: $90,000 - $110,000
