About the role:

Reporting to the Director of Business Operation, the Technical Project Manager plays a high-visibility and influential role in managing the day-to-day activities of large-scale development projects spanning multiple sites and diverse hardware and software technologies, including initiatives aligned with defense applications. This role is central to ensuring alignment between execution and strategic objectives, with regular exposure to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is well organized and a strong communicator, capable of bringing structure, clarity, and predictability to complex projects. You must be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in structured environments, while driving accountability and delivering reliable outcomes.

What you'll do:

Your daily life:

  • Provide project leadership to strategic, high-impact projects with strong organizational visibility;
  • Manage and influence project outcomes in all directions on the org chart to achieve the best results;
  • Anticipate problem situations, act and help resolve problems involving different teams by implementing solutions and mitigation/contingency plans.


Key responsibilities:

  • Develop a detailed project plan (Scope, Schedule, Cost, Risk, Resources, Stakeholder, Communication, Change management, Quality);
  • Proactively identify and plan for cross-functional project interdependencies, issues and risks;
  • Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities;
  • Coordinate with multi-site development teams or external partners.


Execute the development plan:

  • Execute the project according to the project plan;
  • Coordinate resources with the appropriate managers;
  • Maintain an updated plan of record for all on-going activities in MPP, XLS or Atlassian tools;
  • Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary;
  • Update stakeholders, including senior leadership and key program sponsors;
  • Review the quality of the work completed on a regular basis to ensure that it meets standards;
  • Collaborate with engineering and operation groups to ensure proper handover of the product.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or related discipline required;
  • Experience in wireless products, ideally cellular, with exposure to mission-critical or defense-related applications considered an asset
  • Experience in design or management of both hardware and software products.;
  • 5-8 years of experience management experience and/or product development;
  • Very good communication skills, in French (read and spoken) and English (read, written and spoken);
  • Very organized and detail oriented;
  • Strong abilities to identify, prevent and, when needed, solve problems;
  • Strong leadership and change management skills.
