Full Job Description
The Role You'll turn data requirements into capture programs that work across devices, operators, and locations. You will lead the execution that lets Mecka expand real-world data collection while meeting demanding standards for quality and delivery. The role connects engineering decisions to the realities of recording in the field. That means validating pilots, understanding what makes output usable, and building plans that hold up as operations grow.
What You'll Do
Turn dataset requirements into capture programs with clear quality standards, capacity plans, and delivery milestones.
Coordinate device availability, operator training, recording capacity, and data review across a program.
Plan and validate pilot captures before expanding operations.
Investigate data-quality issues with engineering and operations teams, and verify that corrective actions work.
Use measured capacity and data acceptance rates to forecast delivery, identify risks, and adjust the plan.
What You Bring Must-have:
Experience delivering technical programs that combine hardware, software, and field operations.
Ability to build practical schedules, map dependencies, and resolve technical blockers across teams.
Understanding of sensor data, calibration, synchronization, and common recording failures.
Skill in analyzing throughput, quality, capacity, and cost using spreadsheets, queries, or scripts.
Ability to inspect recordings and diagnostic logs, ask precise engineering questions, and verify that a fix works.
Clear written communication, including operating procedures, technical decisions, and realistic delivery forecasts.
Nice-to-have:
Experience with robotics datasets or recording programs involving several sensor types.
Experience improving operator workflows or automating data-quality checks.
A Note on Applying
Studies show women and candidates from underrepresented groups often only apply when they meet 100% of the listed qualifications, while others apply after meeting 60%. If you don't check every box above but believe you can do the job, we encourage you to apply - we're looking for capability and trajectory, not a perfect checklist match.
