Full Job Description
Position Summary:
Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Technical Programmer Analyst to join our Enterprise Services Technology team. The Technical Programmer Analyst will support the analysis, design, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of the Enterprise Services business applications and vendor platforms. In this role, you will work across technical and business teams to help deliver reliable solutions, support product releases and enhancements, analyze workflows, and contribute to application quality, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

Application Support & Operations
• Support vendor products and internal applications through configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Provide end-user support for software applications and assist with day-to-day production support needs.
• Analyze business workflows and application behavior to recommend improvements and support remediation efforts.
• Perform database queries and analyze data where appropriate to support troubleshooting, workflow analysis, and decision-making.
• Leverage other internal teams to support initiatives such as product releases, code deployments, cyber vulnerability remediation, and integration development.

Business Partnership & Requirements Management
• Partner with business teams on product releases, enhancement requests, support issues, and optimization efforts.
• Act as a liaison between technical and business user groups in support of Enterprise Services applications.
• Create and maintain application documentation, which may include functional requirements, interface design, data workflow analysis, and test scripts/results.

Development, Testing & Continuous Improvement
• Write and maintain code for new and updated programs that meets user needs and follows department standards for documentation, structure, reliability, and ease of maintenance.
• Assist in developing and executing system test plans to ensure application performance, business requirement alignment, and system integration quality.
• Develop and improve operational processes and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and focus team efforts.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in application development, systems analysis, business analysis, or technology support roles.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Technical Skills
• Experience with full-stack application development, including:

o Core Java 17, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Security

o SQL development and database querying (Oracle PL/SQL preferred)
• Experience with development tools, including Jenkins, Git/BitBucket, Jira, and Confluence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint.
• Ability to develop, test, troubleshoot, and support both internally developed and vendor-supported applications.
• Nice to have: TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React

Business & Analytical Skills
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, interpret, document, and translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
• Ability to learn new technologies and vendor platforms quickly and effectively.
• Experience analyzing data and business processes to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $100,000 Base Salary + Annual Target Bonus
