This is an exciting opportunity to serve as a trusted business advisor, delivering financial consulting services to developers, institutional investors, and other stakeholders related to projects financed with Historic Tax Credits, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, and other tax incentivized subsidies. We serve developers, property owners, state housing finance agencies, public housing authorities, syndicators, and investors across the United States, providing proactive guidance on development, compliance, risk, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and review complex Excel financial models for real estate tax credit investments.


  • Develop financial projections, investment analyses, and transaction scenarios.


  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout the transaction lifecycle, partnering with developers, investors, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.


  • Manage multiple client engagements and transactions independently with minimal supervision.


  • Advise clients on transaction structure, financial feasibility, tax credit optimization, and partnership structures.


  • Prepare and organize client deliverables.


  • Research technical and industry issues, analyze data, and present findings to clients and internal teams.


  • Mentor and support the development of junior staff.


  • Provide general consulting services to help clients achieve their strategic and financial objectives.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree


  • 5 years professional experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five+ years of financial modeling/analysis real estate experience.


  • Experience with Historic Tax Credits (HTC), Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), or other real estate tax credit investments.


  • Demonstrated advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise.


  • Experience structuring complex real estate tax credit transactions.


  • Strong understanding of partnership structures and partnership taxation.


  • Understanding of real estate financial statements and operating performance.


  • Excellent client management, communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills.


  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple transactions, and deliver exceptional client service.


  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on industry trends, regulations, and applicable tax credit strategies.


The US National pay rate range for this job position is $59,400-$236,800. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
