Full Job Description
Lockheed Martin is designing, developing, and delivering a next-gen wideband MILSATCOM system comprised of integrated space and ground segments that will provide enhanced communications capacity, flexibility and resiliency. This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the final design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability focused on the requirements development, decomposition, and verification.
In this role, you will:
- Perform Requirements and Verification Engineering for the next-gen wideband MILSATCOM system. This includes leading efforts to:
- Develop, allocate, flow-down both performance and functional requirements from the system to it's constituent segments and elements
- Coordinate closely across the SEIT team and with lower-tier systems, hardware, and software engineers to ensure a comprehensive allocation and understanding of the system requirements
- Develop verification and validation plans; lead the applicable verification and validation activities ensuring the systems both meets requirements and performs as needed
- Support/lead key program design reviews
Multiple locations available for this position.
This position is contingent on program award, expected in 3Q 2026.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.
Basic Qualifications
3 years of Systems Engineering experience
Requirements allocation, flowdown, verification, and/or VCRM development experience
Familiarity with DOORS and/or CAMEO
Experiencing developing and/or verification of Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
Experience working either Satellite or Ground Segment programs
Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET Security Clearance. Thus US Citizenship is required
Desired Skills
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
5+ years of Requirements and Verification Experience
Experience in executing design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc)
Experience with Requirements Allocation Documentation
System Integration Experience
Background in designing, or sustaining communication subsystems (e.g., RF, optical, digital), for space missions
Active or Current DoD SECRET Security Clearance
Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00
The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
