Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking an experienced Systems Integrator to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. This position is for individuals that are self-starters, who take the initiative, and enjoy engaging with people. The person best fit for this job will enjoy doing a mix of technical work, project management work, and customer engagement. Position is full-time on-site at Maritime Plaza II in Washington, DC.
The System Integrator will configure software applications and systems, develop technical documentation, and drive integration efforts across complex environments. You will work directly with government partners and ensure systems are integrated, tested, and maintained to the highest standards of security and performance. In this position you will:
- Configure and manage software applications and systems within Department of War (DoW) environments
- Draft technical instructions, system designs, integration plans, integration reports, and test procedures
- Evaluate complex technical activities, assess products, and upgrades; and research current systems technologies
- Apply software configuration management processes to maintain system integrity and traceability
- Execute software, application, and system integration processes and testing activities
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal teams, partners, and government officials
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of integration methodologies and best practices
Required Skills and EducationEducation and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, or Computer Science and at least 4 years of related/relevant work experience, preferred. However, will consider, Associate's and at least 6 years of related/relevant work experiene or a HS and at least 10 years, related/relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience configuring software applications and enterprise-level systems.
- Proficiency drafting technical documentation including designs, instructions, integration plans, and test procedures.
- Ability to evaluate complex IT activities, assess product upgrades, and research emerging systems technologies.
- Knowledge of software configuration management processes and best practices.
- Strong understanding of software/application/system integration processes and testing methodologies.

- Proven experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with partners and government officials.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment with your colleagues
- An IAT II certification as specified in the DoD 8570
- Or, have a SECNAV 5239 qualifying degree AND meet the requirements for an IAT II as specified in the DoD 8570 within 6 months of start date
- Ability to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC), badge access to the customer's facility, and a SSP network account in good standing.
Preferred Skills and Education- Background in IT including a solid understanding of computer networks and IT systems architecture
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification
- Experience applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter 6.5 or later
- Experience writing PowerShell scripts
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 or later administration experience
