Job Description

The Wealth Management Director is responsible for the overall strategy and operations of the Wealth Management function to drive client satisfaction and business growth. Helps establish market growth strategies and collaborates with business leaders to expand client relationships, drive revenue, and enhance advisor performance across assigned markets. This role leads a team of Wealth Advisors, support staff, and supports the Bank's strategy of integrating wealth management solutions within Retail, Private Banking, and Commercial channels.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree required. Advanced degree or professional designations (CFP, CFA, or similar) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive wealth management, financial advisory, or investment services experience.
• 5+ years of management experience in financial management preferred.
• Proven track record of business development, revenue generation, and assets under management growth.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65) required; Series 9/10 or 24 preferred or ability to obtain.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, investment products, and wealth management strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to build referral networks and partnerships within a banking environment.
• Strong business acumen, communication skills, leadership, and relationship management capabilities.
• Ability to travel regularly within the Bank's geographic footprint.
Principle Activities and Duties:
• Directs and leads the wealth management sales programs for the Bank.
• Ensure programs are in place to cultivate the support, guidance, and development of Financial Advisors.
• Monitors and ensures that sales strategies align with business objectives and key initiatives of the Bank.
• Oversees the development and analysis of data that helps support revenue growth and advisor performance (i.e., AUM growth, pipeline trends, referral activity).
• Leads the support staff in the wealth team to ensure client satisfaction goals are met and sales staff are supported to allow for client growth.
• Leads the development and coordination of initiatives, communication, and engagement between Financial Advisors and bank referral channels (Retail offices, Private Banking, etc.).
• Assists in the development of the annual Wealth Management business plan and revenue forecasts.
• Leads advisor recruiting efforts across the Wealth Management team.
• Partners with Cetera to support the development, implementation, and refinement of advisor platform capabilities and sales programs.
• Drives consistency in sales practices, client experience, and advisor performance standards.
• Develops strategies to foster growth in assets under management, client acquisition, and crossline referrals.
• Participates in specific projects or serves as a member of committees as determined by senior management.
