The SQE ensures appropriate controls are implemented by suppliers on purchased products, all along procurement, manufacturing and packing.
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, your missions will include:
- Supporting quality clarifications with suppliers during the tender phase.
- Training suppliers on Arabelle Solutions' tools and processes (ITTS, supplier docs, NCR, EOMR, etc.).
- Preparing (for the quality-related part) and participating in kick-off and pre-inspection meetings (PIM) with suppliers, Arabelle Solutions representatives, and sometimes our clients.
- Reviewing and approving documentation under the responsibility of the supplier quality department, according to task distribution with specialists.
- Actively participating in Daily Management meetings to ensure precise governance of expected deliverables and to escalate any difficulties encountered to your manager.
- Coordinating and keeping the inspection follow-up (Inspection & Test Time Schedule ITTS) up to date.
- Performing inspections at suppliers' premises. A minimum of 30% of inspections are carried out by the supplier quality engineer. Issuing inspection reports. Subcontracting inspections if necessary.
- Analyzing and validating inspection reports, ensuring their internal distribution.
- Leading or supporting the resolution of NCRs (depending on commodities) and ensuring their closure.
- Conducting root cause analyses of non-conformities (RCA, 8D, A3), and developing supplier improvement plans.
- Performing field visits to suppliers (Gemba walk) during the preparation or execution of manufacturing operations.
- Implementing counter-expertise related to special processes (dimensional, welding, NDT, etc.).
- Reviewing and approving End of Manufacturing Reports (EOMR).
- Guaranteeing product conformity to contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Authorizing shipment when all quality criteria are met.
Profile requirements:- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Auditor certification, according ISO 19443
- Experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or project quality
- Background in audits, inspections, or nonconformity management
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a project environment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with suppliers
- Fluent in English
Desirable Skills:- Experience in energy, power, or heavy industry
- Familiarity with quality tools (RCA, FMEA, 8D)
- NDT (Level 2 or 3)
