As a Supervisory Records and Information Management Specialist,GS-0308-15, you will perform the following major duties:
- Oversees the Records Management Division's programs, ensuring that policies and procedures for Records Management (RM), Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) are developed, implemented, and maintained in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Develops and maintains agency-wide records management policies, procedures, and guidelines; establishing and maintaining records schedules for all agency records series, including coordinating the development, review, and submission of records schedules to NARA for approval.
- Develops and maintains agency-wide FOIA policies, procedures, and guidelines; ensuring timely, accurate, and legally compliant responses to all FOIA requests; and overseeing the agency's proactive disclosure program to ensure that frequently requested records and other required information are made publicly available in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Oversees the preparation, publication, and maintenance of System of Records Notices (SORNs) in the Federal Register; and coordinating Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for agency information systems that collect, maintain, or disseminate personally identifiable information (PII).
- Designs and delivers Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) training programs for all agency staff, conducts compliance reviews and self-assessments, and coordinates with the CISO to ensure that CUI protections are integrated into the agency's information security framework.

QualificationsTo qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the federal service leading and evaluating organizational-wide program for records managements, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA) compliance, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI); developing and implementing governing policies and procedures; advising senior officials on complex regulatory and programmatic matters; and directing corrective actions or program improvements to ensure legally compliant information management and public-access operations.
