Full Job Description

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 6:00AM - 2:30PM (or until work for the shift is complete). Must be able to work overtime with very little to no advanced notice.

Work Location: Cardinal Health, 12600 NE 40th Street, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64161

Anticipated salary range: $68,500 - $97,700

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of 15+ individuals. 

  • Coordinating a team to assist in the inbound receipt of materials, stocking of materials, customer returns, ensuring safety and quality for all team members. 

  • Leader must possess attention to detail and understanding of process. 

  • Demonstrating a working knowledge or proficiency in operations and warehousing.

  • Performing any other requirements or requests as made by facility management in alignment with business needs. 

  • Organizing, educating and developing team to reach maximum potential. 

  • Ability to guide team through conflict resolution, handle complex situations, managing associate times for payroll and managing workforce to achieve expected standards. 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • College degree, highly preferred

  • 3-5 years of relatable DC/warehouse work experience, highly preferred

  • Strong communication skills

  • Leadership skills

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to be on call during weekends and off hours as required by the business

  • Must be people focused and dedicated to the leadership of a direct and expanded team

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF technology, preferred

  • Experience with Labor Management Systems, preferred
