Job Description: This employment opportunity is to serve as the Supervisor of Family and Neighborhood Counseling, a key leadership role in the Division overseeing many of the Division's programs and staff. Under direction, plans, organizes, directs and is responsible for the proper functioning of the residential and outpatient programs, staff, and ensures best practices and compliance with Federal and State regulations. Areas of responsibility include programs at the Conklin Youth Center in Hackensack New Jersey and may include other programs in one of the Division's seven other locations.
Job Responsibilities: - Assign, direct, and provide supervision as directed to professional and para-professional staff.
- Solve problems related to the work and/or workers supervised. Work with supervisors and staff at all levels of the Division to resolve problems and distribute resources.
- Ensure best practices, documentation requirements, and full compliance with any relevant regulatory or grant requirements.
- Review and revise policies, procedures, treatment plans, case notes, and other written correspondence is in compliance with standards.
- Coordinate with program supervisors, oversee the audit of clinical charts to ensure adherence to standards of practice.
- Reviews and assigns cases to counselors and provides advice and guidance to counseling staff.
- Provide direction and oversight of evidence-based practices that are found to be effective in providing care to at-risk youth.
- Review work in progress or upon competition as deemed appropriate in order to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of program services and collaborate in development of policies and procedures.
Schedule: - Full time (40 hours/week). Two evenings per week.
Education Requirements: - Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Sociology, Counseling, Social Welfare, or Guidance.
- Two (2) years of experience in work involving the analysis of problems of social and/or emotional adjustment, and the use of consultation and guidance methods in resolving such problems, one year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
Other Requirements: - Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor required.
- Clinical Supervision Certification and additional certifications such as LCADC a plus.
- Residential and/or juvenile justice experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, Outlook and Excel programs.
- Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and computerized information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.
- Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey to perform essential duties of the position.

Full-Time Salary: $85,000 / per annum
