Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

AE's Plasma Power group provides leading, field-proven power control capabilities that enable complex semiconductor processes and other high-technology applications. Advanced Energy is currently hiring an experienced NPI Supervisor to lead Pilot Line personnel & prototyping activities. This includes supervision of NPI Assemblers & Test Technicians, partnering with NPI Planning, Purchasing, & Design teams to meet delivery schedules, achieving quality goals and implementing process improvements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops, communicates, and implements short-term plans consistent with organizational and goals.
  • Applies a wide variety of manufacturing concepts and tools to meet overall business goals.
  • Leads improvement projects
  • Responsible for all staffing activities including hiring, performance appraisal, coaching, promotion, and discipline
  • Works cross-functionally with NPI Planning, NPI Purchasing, Engineering, and other key groups to achieve goals
  • Participate with core teams to establish schedules and facilitate project execution
  • Facilitate team meetings, remove obstacles, monitor & communicate progress to milestones
  • Schedule and run all assembly/test operations. Track progress, report status, and make necessary corrections to achieve all program goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • On-site- Milpitas, CA
  • Standard business & manufacturing environment.

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:
  • 5+ years relevant work experience
  • Minium 3 years of supervisory experience

Desirable:
  • Ability to organize, schedule, coordinate and negotiate effectively and to set priorities
  • Experience in a high mix/low volume manufacturing environment, and/or fast-paced prototyping environment
  • Background in electronics and/or electro-mechanical manufacturing


EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or other relevant field. A combination of relevant experience and/or education may be considered.


Desirable:
  • Six Sigma Lean certification


COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $100,000 to $125,000 per year.
