Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and vendors for multiple projects.
  • Expedite work with subcontractors and vendors daily/weekly.
  • Resolve construction-related issues on-site as they arise.
  • Supervise self-perform work and develop efficient construction methods.
  • Oversee material receiving, ensuring inspections for quantity and quality.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and cost control records.
  • Support jobsite reporting needs including daily reports and schedule updates.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance and assist project managers.
  • Attend and contribute to required jobsite meetings.
  • Ensure consistent quality control aligned with company standards.

Full Job Description
Location: New York, New York (multiple locations)

Job Type: Full Time, Primarily Second Shift (3:30pm - 11:30pm) with occasional Day Shift.

Bradford Construction has an opportunity for an experienced Superintendent to support multiple projects with one of our clients, a NYC Public Agency.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, schedule, and manage all subcontractors and vendors.
  • Expedite subcontractors and vendors on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Identify and resolve construction-related issues as they develop.
  • Supervise self-perform work and develop specialized construction methods to improve job efficiency.
  • Oversee material receiving, ensuring all items are inspected for quantity and quality, and receiving tickets are signed, coded, and filed properly.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and cost control records.
  • Support jobsite reporting requirements, including: daily reports, field purchase orders, weekly unit reports and updates to the two-week lookahead schedules, monthly updates to the overall construction schedule,
  • Review shop drawings and submittals to assist project managers in maintaining compliance with the submittal schedule and contract documentation.
  • Attend all required jobsite meetings.
  • Maintain consistent quality control in line with company standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience with NYC public agencies is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years work experience as a technical specialist in the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in interpreting contract documents (specifications, drawings, shop drawings).
  • Experience in new and modernization type construction.
  • Valid driver's license.

Education: Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a related field. Additional experience will be considered in absence of a four-year degree. #ZR #LI-Onsite
