Position OverviewThis role includes preparing and submitting proposals, developing and maintaining project schedules, ordering and tracking materials, directing shop and field staff, and managing all project closeout processes.
Responsibilities- Manage structural steel projects from kickoff through completion
- Review drawings, specs, and contract documents
- Coordinate with detailing, shop, and field teams
- Work closely with the Project Coordinator (PC) on the release of work packages
- Utilize software such as Vista and Trimble PowerFab for project tracking and management
- Track material, fabrication, and delivery schedules
- Handle RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Communicate with GCs, engineers, and clients
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Demonstration of efficient problem solving is a plus.
Qualifications- Substantial knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals
- Experience in structural steel or miscellaneous metals project management
- Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes
- Ability to read structural drawings
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple jobs
- Experience with Tekla, Bluebeam, Vista, or Trimble PowerFab is a plus
