Overview

Shift Info: full-time floating role. covering for PTO and could be day, evening, nights or weekends.

The holiday schedule is rotating one major and the next year one minor

Location: Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga

Responsibilities

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy Required
Work Experience
  • NA Required
  • Hospital pharmacy experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia Required
