Full Job Description
Overview

Play a vital role in supporting critical national security operations by joining our team in Arlington as an Administrative Assistant/Staff Officer. In this position, you will apply your exceptional organizational and communication skills to monitor and manage end-to-end tasking workflows, coordinate high-priority intelligence staff packages, and provide senior-level administrative support within the J2 directorate. This is an opportunity to work alongside senior intelligence professionals at the forefront of the Intelligence Community, directly contributing to the mission readiness and responsiveness of the workforce that safeguards our nation.

 

 

Work Schedule and Location:

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the Pentagon.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage end-to-end tasking workflows. Process, route, and staff incoming intelligence taskers via DARTS, NIPR, & SIPR.
  • Provide on the spot assistance and guidance to Action Officers navigating tasking systems (DARTS, ETMS2/NIPR&SIPR).
  • Receive, process, staff, and track staff actions throughout their entire life cycle in support of J21 tasking systems
  • Draft, edit, and finalize executive correspondence and intelligence staff packages, including military/civilian letters and internal/external memorandums
  • Act as the Primary Subject Matter Expert to rapidly coordinate and close high-priority, short-notice taskers
  • Serve as the primary daily point of contact for taskers supporting the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
  • Update and maintain relevant databases, shared drives, and SharePoint to ensure accurate tracking of staff action status
  • Provide senior-level staff action support to task managers and subordinate organizations as required
  • Prepare packages and communications for review and routing, ensuring completion within specified suspense dates with a high degree of accuracy
  • Submit and track daily parking requests for Senior Leaders and VIP visitors
  • Submit ETMS2 account requests
  • Provide general administrative support via in-person, telephone, and email communications as directed by J21 leadership
Qualifications

Required: 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph
  • 3+ years of experience in administrative or operational support to DoD or IC elements
  • Working knowledge of intelligence tasking systems and processes (DARTS, ETMS2), including familiarity with military terminology and staff action workflows
  • High level of skill in oral and written communication, with the ability to produce clear, concise products while handling sensitive matters with discretion
  • Working knowledge of regulations, directives, and procedures governing the control of highly classified materials
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and shared drive management
  • Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute

Desired: 

  • General knowledge of OSD, Defense agencies, Military Departments, and the IC to understand organizational relationships and external coordination requirements
  • Familiarity with DARTS, ETMS2, or similar DoD tasking and requirements management systems
  • Familiarity with the J2 directorate mission, functions, and organizational relationships

$39-$48/hr
