Overview

Do you consider yourself to be a highly technical, strong communicator with the desire to work in a team environment on complex projects? Gilbane is seeking aSr. Transition Managerto beresponsible for the implementation and tactical execution of all project activities on multiple transition projects, as well as participating in the strategic marketing initiatives of the TPM division.

Responsibilities
  • Engage and interact with all levels of clients, vendors, consultants, etc. with clear and concise oral and written communications
  • Recruit, train and manage project staff and resources
  • Delegate responsibilities and oversee work on multiple complex projects
  • Build and manage project financial reports, maximizing potential for savings
  • Facilitate planning and scheduling sessions for large complex projects
  • Develop and maintain master plans, reports, budgets and other functional deliverable/management tools
  • Proactively identify risks and liability issues and mitigate exposure
  • Cultivate and maintain client and industry relationships
  • Proactively participate in business development opportunities including sales calls, proposal writing, presentations and contract negotiations
  • Responsible for the career development and coaching of team members
  • Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
  • Interprets and translates the organizational strategy, ensuring team understanding of their role in accomplishing strategic goals
  • Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables.Actively participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position Gilbane as the 22Builder of Choice22.
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BS or MS degree in logistics or related field
  • 10-15 years of project management experience, including 3-5 years of consulting experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel Powerpoint, Project and Visio)
  • Knowledge of scheduling software, CADD, Visio, advanced Excel, Bluebeam, Procore and Smartsheet desirable
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Construction document and drawing literate with knowledge of all phases of construction
  • Detailed knowledge of at least two TPM market sectors, such as healthcare, government/military, research and development/laboratory, or higher education
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex project teams
  • Ability to demonstrate insight on TPM consulting strategy and interest in strategy formation
  • Ability to travelup to 60%and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

The pay ranges from $125,000.00 -$165,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
