Job Description

As a Sr. Project Management Specialist, you will lead the implementation and delivery of US Digital Designs by Honeywell Fire Station Alerting systems. This hybrid office and field-based role requires close collaboration with customers, field professionals, engineering, sales, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

You will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through completion, including project planning, scheduling, financial performance, risk management, customer communication, installation, testing, commissioning, and customer training. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and experienced in managing complex projects while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the delivery of Fire Station Alerting systems from project initiation through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, and implementation activities with field professionals and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, managing expectations, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Provide customer training and support related to the operation and maintenance of Fire Station Alerting systems.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, costs, forecasts, and margins, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, customer support, field professionals, and other internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide guidance and support to field teams to ensure adherence to project plans, schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality, safety, and successful project outcomes.


Qualifications

MUST HAVES
  • 5 or more years of project management experience, preferably supporting technology, emergency services, communications, or technical solutions.
  • 5 or more years of experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and customer deliverables.
  • 5 or more years of experience leading complex projects from initiation through completion.
  • 5 or more years of experience working directly with customers and cross-functional teams in a project delivery environment.
  • 5 or more years of relevant project management or emergency services experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, analytical, problem-solving, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites up to 50%.

WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience working with emergency services, fire departments, public safety, or fire station operations.
  • 5 or more years of experience supporting technology implementations, communications systems, or field-based technical projects.
  • 5 or more years of experience with project risk management, safety practices, installation, testing, commissioning, or technical implementation.
  • Experience with IT networking principles, radio systems, or public safety communications.
  • Experience developing technical documentation, project documentation, or customer user guides.
  • PMP certification or other recognized project management certification.
  • Experience managing project financials, forecasting, cost control, and process improvements.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, cross-functional organization and building long-term customer relationships.
