CDM Smith's Florida CEI team is seeking a SPE / Sr. PM for Roadway and Bridge Transportation Engineer that will:
- As SPE / Sr. PM lead and supervise construction inspection activities at various transportation infrastructure construction projects such as roadway, bridge, drainage, public utility installations, erosion control, and maintenance and traffic control for FDOT as well as other local municipalities. - Maintain relationships with clients and contractors to ensure construction activities are on schedule and meeting contract requirements. - Estimate manpower needs, schedule, and assign work to meet completion date deadlines set by client. - Identify, recruit, and mentor discipline-specific talent. - Supervise the work of field inspection staff. - Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct large and important construction projects, or a construction project of major scope and complexity. - Participate in new business development, CEI practice growth, and maintain existing client relationships. - Participate in client RFQ/RFP pursuits and submittals collaborating with marketing staff and other CDM Smith sales personnel to deliver winning proposals. - Function as a mentor for junior level employees. - Assist in developing and implementing new strategies to enhance our CEI practice capabilities. - Keep abreast of new methods and developments affecting CDM Smith and recommend changes to current programs or implement innovative programs warranted by new developments. - Attend and participate in client related / sponsored events and conferences such as FTBA, FL-ACEC, and Team Florida providing firm technical luminescence.
Skills & Abilities

Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations. Basic knowledge of design standards (AASHTO, NACTO, etc.).
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license. 15 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

20% - 40%
Driving Requirements

An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
Pay Range Min

USD $134,264.00
Pay Range Max

USD $248,394.00
Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
