The Senior Project Manager will have a proven track record of independently managing high-stakes, complex programs across the full delivery lifecycle of programs which may include an Agile Release Train (Product), Software Professional Services (SPS/Hybrid), or Corporate Programs, and will be expected to shape delivery strategy, define ways of working and drive consistent execution standards across the team. Beyond hands-on delivery ownership, the Sr. Project Manager serves as a technical authority and mentor to less experienced practitioners, contributes actively to the evolution of GPMO practice and engages confidently with senior stakeholders to influence outcomes and manage complexity at scale.
Compensation range: $125,000 - $140,000
Other compensation: Performance bonus eligible
The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, licensure, certifications, related experience and other related factors.
What you will be doing:
Independently lead end-to-end delivery of complex, high-priority programs and concurrent projects of varying scope and duration, defining delivery strategies, priorities, governance structures, and execution plans to ensure successful outcomes.
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, budgets, forecasts, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) frameworks, proactively addressing risks, financial variances, competing priorities, and delivery challenges.
Serve as a subject matter expert in project management methodologies, driving the adoption and continuous improvement of SAFe, Lean-Agile, PMI, and other relevant practices to enhance delivery efficiency, quality, and consistency.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams, providing executive-level reporting, managing expectations, resolving competing priorities, and influencing decisions without direct authority.
Lead change management efforts and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying systemic challenges, implementing process enhancements, and contributing to GPMO standards, governance, documentation, and best practices.
Oversee delivery coordination across internal, external, and geographically distributed teams, ensuring alignment, accountability, effective communication, and consistent execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Support pre-sales and commercial delivery activities, where applicable, including statements of work (SOWs), RFI/RFP responses, project scoping, contract alignment, and financial oversight.
Mentor and coach junior project management professionals, contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and professional development, and actively participate in GPMO improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
