Senior Manager, Shop, Franchise & Supply Chain Accounting, is responsible for leading all aspects of Krispy Kreme's shop, franchise, and supply chain accounting functions. This role provides leadership over the financial close, financial reporting, internal controls, and business partnering activities across these areas while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. The Senior Manager partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Franchise Operations, FP&A, Marketing, Treasury, Tax, and Internal Audit to support business initiatives, strengthen internal controls, and drive continuous process improvements. This position is also responsible for developing a high-performing accounting team and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Financial Close & Reporting- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for shop, franchise, and supply chain accounting.
- Oversee the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
- Review financial results, analyze significant variances, and communicate key business drivers to leadership.
- Support quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements related to assigned accounting areas.
Shop, Franchise & Supply Chain Accounting- Provide strategic oversight of accounting for company-owned shops, including revenue, store operating expenses, labor-related accruals, lease and occupancy accounting, and other store-level accounting transactions.
- Lead franchise accounting activities, including royalty revenue, franchise fees, advertising/brand fund accounting, franchise receivables, and compliance with franchise agreements.
- Oversee supply chain accounting, including inventory, manufacturing, distribution, inventory reserves, and cost accounting activities.
- Support broader accounting teams for new shop openings, remodels, store closures, acquisitions, and franchise development activities.
- Review operational accounting trends and partner with business leaders to improve financial performance and processes.
Internal Controls & Compliance- Own SOX controls and governance activities related to shop, franchise, and supply chain accounting.
- Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and ensure timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors to support audits, control testing, and remediation activities.
Business Partnership- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Franchise Operations, FP&A, Marketing, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Internal Audit to support strategic initiatives.
- Provide accounting guidance for complex operational transactions and new business initiatives.
- Support system implementations, automation initiatives, and process improvement projects across the accounting organization.
- Support business performance analysis and provide financial insights to senior leadership.
Leadership- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop managers and accounting professionals.
- Establish departmental priorities and ensure timely execution of key deliverables.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer service.
- Build organizational capability through talent development and succession planning.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial close processes, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
- Experience with retail, restaurant, franchise, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain accounting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Provides strategic leadership while maintaining operational excellence.

- Public accounting and/or public company accounting experience preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-unit retail or franchise organizations preferred.
- Experience with Oracle ERP and financial reporting systems preferred.
- Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and process automation preferred.
