Job Summary:

Super Micro Computers, Inc. is looking for a (Sr.) Manager, Production who will manage the production line by deriving and managing metrics, set targets, review performance, and instate improvement. Manager, Production will organize and oversee the manufacturing of products. You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. If you are up to it, we'd like to talk to you. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs the development and implementation of activities in rack production area(s) to meet rack production goals, quality.
  • Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the operators.
  • Guide the rack team through root cause analysis, issue solving and prevention.
  • Achieve /Prioritizes production schedules based on rack product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Launch new rack programs, lead rack production ramps and design changes successfully through resource planning, program management and partnering with rack PM team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or related field is preferred
  • 8+ years production management experience with Service, Rack, system, or server industry.
  • Experience in rack manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies, improve efficiency, increase yield and availability, and design of experiments.
  • Hands-on experience and abilities to implement rack integration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Have a good technical experience of rack product design intent, processes, equipment.
  • Ability to manage constant change in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Effective time management and communication skills


Salary Range

$110,000 - $175, 000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
