Sr. Manager, Operational Excellence - Six Sigma Master Black Belt
This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, hire, manage, and develop a global team of direct-report Six Sigma Black Belts.
· Personally lead complex, high-visibility initiatives sponsored by executive leadership.
· Oversee a portfolio of Operational Excellence projects across all functions and regions.
· Help executive sponsors evaluate and prioritize projects based on impact, feasibility, and capacity.
· Apply Six Sigma methods and advanced analytics to identify causes and define solutions.
· Use Python or R to extract, prepare, and analyze complex data sets.
· Guide the team’s analytical approach and validate its analyses, conclusions, and recommendations.
· Provide regular executive updates on progress, findings, risks, decisions, and business impact.
· Partner with Finance to define baselines and validate projected and realized cost savings.
· Establish KPIs, control plans, and governance before transitioning ownership to business process owners.
· Oversee Yellow Belt and Green Belt programs, delivery quality, and certification standards.
· Deliver training when appropriate, including advanced methodology and analytics topics.
Required Qualifications
· Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification.
· At least 10 years of experience leading complex Six Sigma projects and teams.
· Technology-industry experience in complex manufacturing and business-process environments.
· Demonstrated success leading global, cross-functional improvement programs.
· Expert knowledge of Six Sigma, statistics, process mapping, root-cause analysis, and quality tools.
· Hands-on proficiency with Python or R for complex data analysis.
· Experience managing direct reports and developing technical professionals.
· Ability to influence senior leaders and teams without direct authority.
· Strong executive communication, facilitation, and project-management skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, data science, business, operations, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with outsourced supply chains and contract manufacturers.
· PMP certification.
· Master’s degree.
Additional Requirements
· Ability to work from the designated office at least two days per week.
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, typically less than 10%.
