About the RoleWe're looking for a BizOps Sr. Manager to be one of the founding members of Evvy's BizOps team. This team is critical as we grow into our next phase, surfacing and solving cross-functional problems, translating strategy into execution, eliminating friction, and accelerating Evvy's progress against our goals.
This role sits at the center of how Evvy operates and grows. You'll operate as a GM across major strategic initiatives - owning strategy through execution - then develop the strategic point of view on the next set of big bets. In parallel, you'll help build the Evvy operating system that allows the company and Evvy's CEO to execute as effectively as possible against our most ambitious goals.
This role is intentionally broad and dynamic. As a generalist operator, you'll work on the highest priority company needs and initiatives, which will evolve as the business grows. You'll thrive in this role if you're someone who quickly gets up the learning curve, brings structure and execution to ambiguous situations, and knows how to prioritize exceptionally well along the way. Success in this role will vary depending on the work at hand, but you'll always be able to point to a piece of the business you own end-to-end and clearly move forward.
You'll report to Evvy's Chief of Staff & Head of BizOps, and partner closely with our co-founders (primarily our CEO) and functional team leads.
Evvy is an in-person team based in New York, NY. Given the cross-functional nature of this role, our ideal candidate is located in NYC.
What You'll DoDrive New Business Bets- Act as a GM for a major strategic initiative against a core company metric, whether it's a new product, channel, market, or vertical
- Set the strategy, build the plan, and bring together the right cross-functional teams needed to take it from thesis to launch and beyond
- As needed, make recommendations on vendors, budget allocation, and hires to leadership team, in order to enable success of the new bet
- Establish what success looks like upfront, and make the judgment call when the effort is ready to transition to an existing functional owner or spin up a new team
Own Strategy Sprints- Lead the analysis against Evvy's highest-level strategic questions that haven't yet landed on the company roadmap - think pathway to reimbursement strategy, new product expansion (market sizing, competitive analysis, fit for Evvy), international growth & more
- Develop a perspective and recommendation to support leadership decisions on what Evvy commits to next, and how it should be sequenced against everything else in flight
- Partner with functional leaders to translate decisions from these sprints into the right set of next steps
Engineer the Evvy Operating System- Support the company-wide systems and processes that translate strategy into alignment and execution - including quarterly/annual planning cycles, KPIs and business reviews, All Hands, and more
- Ensure company priorities are translated into clear team-level owners with appropriate resourcing and defined, measurable outcomes
- Spot organizational friction or decentralized problems as Evvy scales and fix them before it becomes a bigger problem
Force Multiply the CEO- Work closely with Evvy's CEO and Chief of Staff on the recurring and high priority work, including investor relations, advisory board engagement, board presentations, and external touchpoints
- Provide flexible support in high priority areas where the CEO needs additional leverage
What We're Looking ForYou have:- 5-8 years of experience, with a mix of strategy work (e.g. consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, venture capital, strategic finance) and operating experience at a fast-growing start-up
- A proven track record leading cross-functional, ambiguous initiatives where you've had real ownership and driven meaningful outcomes
- Strong analytical skills that you're comfortable adapting to new use cases, whether it's building a forecast, sizing a market size, or quantifying a launch plan
- A real knack for moving between big-picture strategy and the operational detail needed to actually build something
You are:- Someone who thrives in situations with high ownership and high ambiguity, and know how to apply thoughtful judgment, bias towards action, and adapt as you get more information
- Equally excited by building the plan and doing the work to make it real
- An exceptional, clear communicator (written and verbally) who can bring leadership and cross-functional teams along at the right altitude
- Adept at building trust and credibility at all levels and with varying functions, without relying on title or top-down authority
- Energized by context switching and getting to own and touch a wide swath of the business
Helpful but not required:- Experience in digital health or women's health
- Experience working in venture capital, ideally with purview into consumer health
