DescriptionJob Title: Sr. Information Security Engineer
Job Duties:
- Design, implement, maintain, and support security tools/platforms to protect company's computer systems, networks and data and assist with improving overall security posture applying knowledge in computer and information technology systems such as networks, applications, servers, cloud, authentication, emerging technologies, TCP/IP networking, Windows, Unix/Linux, and networking services such as SSL, DNS, SMTP, DHCP.
- Handle security engineering, security operations, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability threat management, security incident management, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and cyber threat analytics by complying with Cyber Security Standards (ISO27001, NIST CSF, CIS Benchmarks).
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company's systems and data.
- Manage security tools/platforms such as EDR, DLP, Web Proxy, Messaging, Vulnerability Management, Identity and Access Management.
- Develop playbooks/runbook, operational and troubleshoot documentation for use.
- Assist with Incident Response efforts.
Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
Must possess the knowledge or skills of:
- Network performance - jitter, latency, and packet loss.
- Ticketing systems - ServiceNow, ITG Ticketing, Service Catalog (ESC).
- Compliance - PCI, HIPAA and PII regulations.
- Configuration - IPSEC and SSL VPNs on Palo Alto firewalls.
- Network optimization - TCP/IP, communication protocols, IPSec, GRE tunnels, Multicast technologies, and traffic-balancing methods.
- Network security - Check Point Firewall versions NG, NGX R65/R70/R75/R77, VMware NSX network.
- Cisco routers and switches - OSI model, TCP/IP protocol suite, BGP, OSPF, IPv4, and IPv6.
Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $154,960 - $160,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role
