Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Global Trade Analyst to support the company's global export compliance program. This role will be responsible for managing customer due diligence, Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews, export compliance operations, policy and procedure development, trade compliance systems, and process automation initiatives. The position will play a key role in enhancing Supermicro's global compliance framework through the implementation and administration of SAP automation workflows, denied party screening, compliance automation, and continuous process improvements.
The Senior Global Trade Compliance Analyst will partner closely with Sales, Legal, Revenue, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure compliance with U.S. export controls, sanctions regulations, and global trade requirements while supporting Supermicro's continued growth in AI infrastructure, cloud computing, and advanced technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Export Compliance Operations
  • Support day-to-day export compliance activities involving U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), OFAC sanctions, and other global trade regulations.
  • Conduct export compliance reviews involving customers, end users, distributors, resellers, and international transactions.
  • Support export license determinations, license exception reviews, advisory opinions, and regulatory interpretations.
  • Assist with restricted party screening, sanctions compliance, and export compliance investigations.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to provide practical export compliance guidance that supports business objectives while managing regulatory risk.


Customer Due Diligence & Compliance Programs
  • Lead customer due diligence, Know Your Customer (KYC), end-user, end-use, and transaction risk assessments.
  • Review customer ownership structures, business operations, end-use statements, and supporting documentation to identify potential compliance risks and red flags.
  • Support onboarding of new customers and distributors through risk-based compliance reviews.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, audit trails, and case files to support regulatory and internal audit requirements.
  • Assist with investigations involving potential export control, sanctions, or diversion risks.


Trade Compliance Systems & Automation
  • Support implementation, enhancement, and ongoing administration of SAP GTS and other trade compliance technologies.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of trade automation workflows supporting customer due diligence, export reviews, licensing, and compliance approvals.
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to automate trade compliance processes, improve workflow efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.
  • Develop dashboards, metrics, reporting, and KPI tracking to support compliance operations and executive reporting.


Policies, Procedures & Training
  • Develop, maintain, and update global export compliance policies, procedures, work instructions, and guidance documents.
  • Ensure policies remain aligned with evolving U.S. and international export control and sanctions regulations.
  • Support the development and delivery of global trade compliance training programs for employees and business partners.
  • Promote consistent compliance practices across global operations through standardized procedures and documentation.


Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales, Revenue, Legal, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, and IT to support compliant business operations.
  • Participate in cross-functional compliance committees and support escalation reviews involving high-risk transactions.
  • Support internal audits, government inquiries, regulatory examinations, and compliance investigations.
  • Provide practical guidance on export compliance requirements while enabling business growth and operational efficiency.


Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes, documentation, workflows, and automation.
  • Monitor regulatory developments involving export controls, sanctions, advanced computing, AI technologies, and emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend and implement best practices to enhance the effectiveness and maturity of Supermicro's global trade compliance program.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Legal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in global export compliance, trade compliance operations, or international trade.
  • Experience managing customer due diligence, KYC, export compliance reviews, and sanctions compliance.
  • Experience developing trade compliance policies, procedures, and operational controls.
  • Experience implementing or supporting trade compliance systems and workflow automation.

Skills
  • Strong knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), OFAC sanctions, and global export compliance requirements.
  • Experience with SAP GTS, ServiceNow, ERP systems, denied party screening tools, or other trade compliance technologies.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across global cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing SAP GTS, ServiceNow, or other trade compliance automation platforms.
  • Experience developing customer due diligence and KYC programs.
  • Experience creating global trade compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Experience supporting compliance committees, export licensing programs, and global compliance initiatives.
  • Professional certifications such as CUSECO, CES, or similar international trade compliance certifications.
  • Experience supporting AI infrastructure, servers, semiconductors, cloud computing, or advanced technology products.


Salary Range

$100,000 - $140,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
