Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in automotive development or related experience, with a focus on safety preferred.
• Knowledgeable in multiple automotive regulatory and compliance areas.
• Proficient in computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and internet research.
• Strong research capabilities with the application of engineering principles to safety projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate safety compliance submissions for North American vehicles.
• Develop and update vehicle safety regulatory forecasts.
• Research and benchmark safety performance strategies against competitors.
• Track and report on federal and state vehicle safety legislation.
• Monitor emerging trends in advanced vehicle technologies.
• Engage with various stakeholders, including NHTSA and IIHS, for compliance discussions.
• Prepare and submit work products for light-duty vehicle safety matters.
