Sr. Electrical Engineer -Test Equipment EngineeringPosition Summary:Marotta Controls is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development of Special and/or Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for the Power and Control Actuation Systems (PAS) business unit. The applicant should have a background in Electrical or Computer Engineering with demonstrated skills in the development of power supply, motor control, and power distribution unit test systems.
Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:- Design test systems including Test Consoles and Interface Test Adapters (ITA)
- Develop Test Equipment System Requirements (TE SRR), Test Equipment Design (TE PDR/CDR), and Test Equipment Validation Procedures/Reports
- Ability to use various laboratory equipment (e.g. power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes) and automate testing utilizing said equipment.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and diagnose issues with test equipment systems and determine root cause and corrective actions (RCCA)
- Perform and complete SDRLs and other documents regarding Test Plans/Procedures, Validation Plans/Procedures, and other related engineering deliverables.
- Work with outside vendors and suppliers.
Qualifications:- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar is required
- 7+ Experience in Test Engineering / Test Equipment design for power electronics system testing
- Experience designing test systems utilizing a Test Console and Interface Test Adapter (ITA)
- Must be a US Citizen
Required Skills:- Test equipment hardware selection. Electrical schematic generation. EEE parts selection.
- Software: OrCAD, LT Spice, MS Visio, MS Office
Additional skills Preferred:- Project planning, monitoring, and reporting
- Experience in PCB layout and routing
- Software: MS Visual Studio, LabVIEW
- Programing Languages: C#, LabView, MS SQL
- Data/Communication Types: Analog I/O, Digital I/O, IEEE-488, IB2C, SPI, USB, CAN, RS-485/422/232, Serial, TCP/IP, J-TAG
This position is at our Parsippany NJ office location.
