What you'll be doing

You'll be joining CIBC's Capital Markets Technology Team, leading complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC's enterprise architecture roadmap. As a Senior Business Systems Consultant, you'll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You'll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.

How you'll succeed
  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements. Primarily working with Rates desk but since it is a cross asset risk management platform they will opportunities working on other asset classes as well.
  • Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Leading and Mentoring - Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate experience with: 5+ years in a BSA in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions, with the ability to elicit requirements and write strong documentation and communication skills. You have strong SQL database querying ability, as well as data and gap analysis expertise and are proficient with Excel pivot tables & PythonIdeally, you have a very good understanding of Capital Markets products, solid Fixed Income knowledge, (IIROC, MiFID II), Trade Life cycles and have worked within Financial Services previouslyIt's an asset if: You have 2 - 3 years of experience with Fixed Income related systems such as: (Bloomberg TOMS, Broadway Technologies and/or AXE Trader) as well as integration/eTrading Automation, and systems migration knowledge. Experience with Tableau and/or Alteryx.
