Full Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Walmart Digital Shelf Manager to lead creative asset management for Harry's, Lume, and Flamingo on Walmart.com. The ideal candidate has experience building best-in-class digital shelf for omnichannel retailers, with a major focus on Walmart, and pairs it with a strong creative vision and a growth-minded, analytical approach. You will develop and optimize every creative element of our retail presence, including product listings, A+ / Rich Media, and brand storefronts, translating performance data into compelling visual narratives that drive sales and strengthen our brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Brand Creative and Amazon digital shelf team to develop and execute creative strategy for Harry's, Lume, and Flamingo on Walmart.com and all other retailers
• Partner with production teams, copywriters, and launch coordinators on Walmart art direction to deliver seamless new product launches.
• Lead the end-to-end process of creating, editing, and optimizing Walmart and retail specific creative assets, ensuring a cohesive and compelling brand narrative across listings, A+ / Rich Media, storefronts, and advertising materials.
• Optimize main images to lift CTR (benefiting advertising) and A+ / Rich Media to drive CVR.
• Form a hypothesis for each creative update and work with an analyst to track its impact. Explain the "why" behind changes to the brand and creative teams, tying creative work back to commercial strategy and broader brand goals.
• Collaborate closely with brand, retail, advertising, creative, and analytics partners to ensure cohesive and effective brand representation. Work with your manager to scope and prioritize your own work and clarify ownership across teams.
• Apply winning assets and learnings to other retail marketplaces such as Target, Ulta, and Kroger, within each marketplace's creative requirements, and build reusable templates the broader team can use.
• Proactively monitor Walmart's evolving best practices and platform updates, anticipating issues before they affect launches or ad performance.
Walmart Data & Technical Ownership
• Build and upload Walmart listings from a creative point of view, partnering with retail leads on item setup so every item meets Walmart requirements and is optimized for SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
• Apply a deep understanding of Walmart's back end, categorization, and browse nodes to set items up for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot back-end Walmart issues that block creative updates (publishing errors, content rejections, mis-categorized items) and drive them to resolution.
• Monitor listing health and creative performance data (content quality, CTR, CVR, search visibility) and recommend priorities based on what moves the business.
• Ensure full compliance with Walmart image specs, storefront requirements, and Terms of Service.
Qualifications
• Educational or professional experience in graphic design, marketing, advertising, or a related field.
• Roughly 2-3 years of e-commerce or digital shelf experience, including meaningful creative experience within the Walmart ecosystem.
• Demonstrated expertise managing and optimizing creative assets for Walmart, including a deep understanding of item setup, categorization, browse nodes, and marketplace-specific creative requirements, image specs, storefront standards, and Terms of Service.
• Data-driven mindset: able to connect creative decisions to commercial outcomes and form testable hypotheses. You don't need to be an analyst, but you should partner with one to measure results.
• Experience troubleshooting back-end Walmart issues when updating creative assets (e.g., A+ / Rich Media, storefronts)
• Exceptional organization, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and thrive in a fast-paced environment supporting three brands.
• Ability to work autonomously, running well-scoped work end to end with minimal guidance and delivering on time and in full.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or Figma.
• Content syndication platform experience (e.g., Salsify, Syndigo) is preferred but not mandatory. Experience with SEO/AEO, Walmart Connect, or other retail marketplaces is also a plus.
