If you're a Jack (or Jill!) -of-all-Trades, a utility infielder who can handle everything from election planning to quarterly I-Team specials and other newsroom projects as they come up. The Ideal Candidate:- Experienced journalist able to produce compelling, impactful content for broadcast, digital and social platforms.
- Political junkie, deeply engaged in issues and versed in interviewing/profiling candidates and communicating with campaigns at all levels of government.
- Comfortable producing longform specials, Town Halls, and similar productions on deadline.
- Strong communication skills, positive attitude.
- Capable problem-solver.
- Collaborative content creator who enjoys being part of a team.
- Clear and thorough understanding of copyright, libel and defamation law as they relate to our industry.
- Understands the 24-7 nature of news and is available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Qualifications:- Minimum 5 years experience in line and/or field production
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
- Familiarity with SAGA/MIMIR, Premiere, Xpression, Tagboard a plus.
The hourly compensation range for this role is $38.46 to $46.58. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
