Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a mission-driven Special Operations Special Access Programs (SAP) Analyst to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict (ASD(SO/LIC)). This position sits at the forefront of national defense strategy, providing expert-level policy analysis and support for some of the most sensitive and strategically significant special operations programs in the Department of Defense.

As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you will help shape and refine policy across the lifecycle of special access programs tied to U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF). Your work will influence decisions at the highest levels of the DoD and impact global mission effectiveness, operational risk, and congressional oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver expert-level policy advice on sensitive special operations programs and activities, including those within Special Access Programs (SAPs).

Analyze policy and operational reports, providing recommendations to improve effectiveness and mitigate risk across the SOF enterprise.

Draft, revise, and validate high-level reports, congressional responses, investigations, and audit documentation.

Develop and enforce policies for oversight and execution of highly sensitive special operations programs.

Support senior leaders with tailored briefings, talking points, and materials for internal and external engagements.

Monitor operational developments and deliver timely analysis on SOF activities, risks, and implications for national security.

Facilitate interagency coordination and engagements, including conferences and site visits related to sensitive SOF activities.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

At least 3 years of experience supporting SOF-related special access programs and operations within OSD or Service headquarters staff.

Extensive knowledge of USSOCOM special mission units and related policies, missions, and operational constructs.

Bachelor's degree in any field.

Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior DoD leaders and stakeholders.

Strong writing, research, and policy development skills with a track record of delivering high-quality, time-sensitive work.
