The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace’s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The divisionleveragesa broad array of engineering disciplines against a dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.
The new hire will join theSpace Planning, Readiness, and Operations (SPRO) Departmentteamto provide operationally focused space solutionsfor warfighter and end users in supportof our Department ofWar(DoW), Intelligence Community (IC), and civil customers.Weserve as the EED and ETG entry point for wargaming and exercises, space operations planning,andoperationally relevantsupport to connectcorporate technical capabilities and operational requirements, integrate capabilities across the space enterprise, and educate the workforce on space operations and warfighting.Do you want to have a positive impact on the present and future space enterprise? WhatYoullBe Doing
Leveraging yourknowledge of theweaponeeringand Joint Targeting Cycle to provide planning andcourse of action (COA)developmentto Department of War (DoW) customers.
Supporting customers across strategic, operational, and tactical levels.
Applying Joint Munition Effectiveness Manual (JMEM)-related analysis to US Space Force hard problems.
Translating operational needs into acquisition requirements.
Identifyinglimitations/issues with current architectures, systems, and integration processes.
Building roadmaps for short-term and long-term operations and processes to feed into future acquisition strategies.
Interfacing with acquisition organizations to aid their understanding of operational concepts of employment, tactics, techniques, procedures, and operations requirements tofacilitateoperations system utility across the DOTMLPF-P framework.
Serving as atrusted advisor and subject matter expert on air, space, and cyber operations.
Workingacross space mission and program boundaries toidentifycommon program challenges and risks, provide enterprise recommendations, and lead issues to closure.
Workingclosely and effectively withinternal andexternal partners in integrated product teams that include government, industry, FFRDC members, and collaboration across Aerospace.
Communicatingeffectively with customers and management throughtimelyreporting of technical issues, analysis reports, and recommendations.
What You Need to be Successful
MinimumRequirements for theEngineering Specialist
Bachelorsdegree from a recognizedinstitution ina relevant discipline.
8or moreyears of increasing responsibilityand related career experience to include backgroundperformingweaponeeringfunctions, leveraging JMEM, applying the JTC, etc.
Experience in space control, command and control, operational planning, or battle management.
Proven experience taking initiative and delivering on commitments.
Familiarity with acquisition strategies and/or processes.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience working with government customers like US Space Command, US Space Force, and/or the NRO.
Willing to travel occasionally to work location or customer siteapprox.if required.
Active Top Secret security clearance; eligible for SCI and SAP/SAR.
In addition to the above, theminimumrequirements for theSenior Engineering Specialistinclude:
12or moreyears ofrelevant career experience.
Demonstrated blend of operational, technical, and leadership experience.
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
Advanceddegree from a recognized institution ina relative discipline.
Weapons School graduate.
Experience inweaponeeringin a non-space domain (e.g., ground, maritime, air).
Demonstrated background in leading teams in all major aspects of space operations.
Joint Planning experience with a Combatant Command J3/5 or Joint Staff J3/5.
Experience with differentspace operations mission areas/functions such aselectronic warfare (EW); orbital warfare (OW);missile warning missile tracking (MW/MT);space domain awareness (SDA); intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); command and control (C2); satellite communications (SATCOM) or space data transport;or,position, navigation, and timing (PNT).
Experience on an acquisition program.
Experience in operational and tactical level processes.
Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI access and/or SAP/SAR access.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
