Job DescriptionWe have an opportunity for a Salesforce Solution Architect with expertise in Data Cloud. This role can be located anywhere in the United States.
A Data 360 Solution Architect plays a highly hands-on role in shaping client success, leading discovery, design, and delivery of data architectures that unify customer data and power activation across the Salesforce ecosystem.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities- Deepen mastery across Data 360, Agentforce, Marketing Cloud Next and the broader Salesforce ecosystem, with an inherently inquisitive mindset that continuously explores how Data Cloud interacts with core Salesforce products and external systems to design cohesive, scalable architectures.
- Independently research, test theories, and figure things out in ambiguous or evolving environments, taking ownership of architectural decisions by gathering input, validating assumptions, and synthesizing feedback into clear, defensible solutions.
- Lead workshops, conduct discovery, challenge assumptions, and translate complex business goals into scalable data architectures that unify data across systems, power insights, and enable downstream activation in Sales, Service, Experience, and Marketing.
- Build deep, trusted relationships with customers, understand their data landscape and business processes, and confidently navigate difficult conversations with clarity and empathy while setting realistic expectations about Data 360 capabilities and constraints.
- Partner with Sales as a strong presales contributor to define solution strategy, scope new opportunities, identify risks, articulate the art of the possible, and ensure proposed approaches are both technically sound and implementable.
- Advise on zero-copy integrations, data virtualization patterns, and architectural tradeoffs, drawing on hands-on familiarity with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Databricks.
- Serve as a recognized technical authority on data modeling, identity resolution, harmonized data layers, data streams, transformations, activation targets, calculated insights, and AI enablement requirements for Agentforce features.
- Identify risks early, proactively communicate with PMs and clients, and ensure delivery teams build solutions aligned with architectural intent and Salesforce best practices.
- Guide consultants through story creation, review pipeline designs, validate transformations, QA deliverables, and develop and enable junior talent through consistent coaching, examples, and real-world problem solving.
- Go deep when needed, willingly exploring architectural rabbit holes to resolve complex data challenges rather than relying solely on prior patterns or assumptions.
- Evaluate technical talent through functional and technical interviews, including assessing candidates via mock design challenges or use cases such as data unification scenarios or Sales and Service activation workflows.
QualificationsQualifications- Minimum 5 years of professional experience with Salesforce, including hands-on Data 360 implementation experience - minimum of 3 end-to-end implementations including solution design.
- Experience integrating Data 360 with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Tableau strongly preferred, with additional exposure to Data 360 APIs, Agentforce models, or real-time personalization a plus.
- Aware of visualization delivery options for Data 360 - including Lightning Web Components and external BI tools like Tableau - and able to design around external warehouses and zero-copy access patterns.
- Proficient in SQL and SOQL, comfortable reading Apex and JavaScript to validate technical feasibility; Claude.ai skill building and VSCode experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of delivery methodology and ability to lead teams in implementation.
- Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
- Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market and technical conditions and future direction.
- Experience defining new architectures and the ability to drive an independent project from an architectural standpoint.
- Demonstrated success managing complex and or large consulting projects.
- Proficient in authoring, editing, and presenting technical documents.
- Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
- Experience working on multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Flexible to new situations and challenges.
- Bachelor's Degree or commensurate skills.
