*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, LLC office in Raleigh, NC.

Contribute to the architecture, design, development, and testing of new software features and solutions for RHOAI. Innovate in the MLOps domain by participating in upstream communities, such as KServe and llm-d. Ensure non-functional requirements are met, including security, resiliency, and maintainability.

What You Will Do:

• Write unit and integration tests and work with quality engineers to ensure product quality.
• Use CI/CD best practices to deliver solutions as productization efforts into RHOAI.
• Mentor junior engineers through hands-on technical training while providing expert guidance on upstream open-source contributions, feature integration, and cross-system interoperability.
• Proactively utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for code generation, auto-completion, and intelligent suggestions to accelerate development cycles and enhance code quality.
• Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development, proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into existing workflows and tooling.
• Give thoughtful and prompt code reviews.
• Collaborate with product management, other engineering and cross-functional teams to analyze and clarify business requirements.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to ensure proper visibility of development efforts.
• Represent RHOAI in external engagements including industry events, customer meetings, and opensource communities.
  

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
• Must have three (3) years of experience with: architecture, design, development, and testing of new complex features and solutions for large scale software platforms; writing unit and integration tests and working with quality engineers to ensure high product quality; using CI/CD best practices to deliver solutions as productization efforts into software platforms and solutions; conducting high quality thoughtful and prompt code reviews; developing applications in Python or GoLang programming languages; and developing applications on Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Must have two (2) years of experience with development for one or more public cloud services (AWS or GCE or Azure).
• Must have one (1) year of experience with: innovating and operating in the MLOps and/or AIOps domain; and building and releasing enterprise software, based on open-source software.

The salary range for this position is $112,902 - $154,190/year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
