Equifax is seeking creative, high-energy and driven software engineers with hands-on development skills to work on a variety of meaningful projects. What you'll do

Software Engineer for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA to work with cloud native, distributed micro service-based architectures. Collaborate with the architects, SRE leads and other technical leadership on strategic technical direction, guidelines, and best practices. Manage teams with cross functional skills that include software, quality, reliability engineers, project managers and scrum masters. Mentor, coach and develop junior and senior software, quality and reliability engineers. Ensure compliance with EFX secure software development guidelines and best practices and responsible for meeting and maintaining QE, DevSec, and FinOps KPIs. Define, maintain and report SLA, SLO, SLIs meeting EFX engineering standards in partnership with the product, engineering and architecture teams. Drive technical documentation including support, end user documentation and run books. Lead Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and other team activity. Implement architecture decision making associated with Product features/stories, refactoring work, and EOSL decisions. Create and deliver technical presentations to internal and external technical and non-technical Stakeholders. Perform R&D, prototyping/PoC of cloud-native solutions. Design and develop cloud-native solutions. Design and development of micro services using Java, Springboot, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubernetes. Deploy and release software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and understand infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform constructs.

What experience you need

Requires: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation in software engineering. Or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation in software engineering. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): writing, debugging, and troubleshooting code in mainstream Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript or JavaScript, and HTML; Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, or Azure; designing and developing cloud-native solutions; designing and developing microservices using Java, Spring Boot, GCP SDKs, or GKE/Kubernetes; deploying and releasing software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and understanding infrastructure-as-code (IaC), Helm Charts, and Terraform constructs; at least 4 of the following: Java, J2EE, Python, Go, Perl, Ruby, C, C++, Microservices, JMS, XML, Kubernetes, Chef, Terraform, Cassandra, or Postgres; and at least 3 of the following logging and monitoring tools: Splunk, Grafana, GCP Stack driver, Apigee, Dynatrace, or App dynamics.
