Docusign is looking for a software engineer to join our Compute Platform team, focused on building and managing scalable, resilient compute infrastructure. The Engineering Services team ensures critical back-end services scale with the company's continued rapid growth. You will be responsible for designing high-performance, resilient architectures, extending and implementing compute platform initiatives (such as container orchestration and cloud platform infrastructure) to support global-scale business needs. You will also work on infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code-based deployments.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager.

Responsibility

• Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable compute infrastructure components
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code for automation and infrastructure tools
• Collaborate with senior team members to understand engineering requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Work with cross-functional teams to maintain and evolve the compute platform ecosystem, including managing container orchestration, cloud infrastructure, and automation workflows
• Support the reliability and operational performance of compute environments through monitoring and incident response

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of software development or systems engineering experience
• Experience with distributed systems and software development lifecycles

Preferred

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and container orchestration concepts
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (laC) and GitOps methodologies to manage and automate infrastructure
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Interest in participating in on-call rotations and contributing to system reliability

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

Washington: $111,900.00 - $162,250.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

• Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
• Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
