- Write clear, maintainable, well-tested code and participate actively in code and design reviews
- Debug production issues and perform root-cause analysis across services and system boundaries
- Improve system reliability, observability, performance, security, and operational readiness
- Participate in the team's operational responsibilities, including monitoring and incident response where applicable
- Work closely with product, security, infrastructure, and other engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Contribute to technical documentation, runbooks, engineering standards, and team best practices
- Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and simplify existing systems
- Seek and incorporate feedback while contributing constructively to the growth and effectiveness of the team
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Software development experience with Java or Go as a primary programming language
- Strong understanding of core software engineering concepts, including data structures, algorithms, APIs, testing, debugging, and version control
- Ability to understand an existing codebase and make safe, maintainable changes
- Experience writing automated tests and diagnosing software defects
- Familiarity with distributed systems, backend services, cloud infrastructure, or similar production environments
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with other engineers
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of well-defined engineering tasks and drive them through completion
Preferred Qualifications- Hands-on experience building production backend services and RESTful or RPC-based APIs
- Familiarity with authentication, authorization, identity, permissions, or access-control concepts
- Experience with cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability tooling
- Understanding of security principles and secure software development practices.
- Experience operating production services and troubleshooting distributed systems
