Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Essential Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and support scalable software solutions that enable CorePointAI capabilities across the enterprise.
- Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications utilizing modern software engineering practices.
- Develop integrations that support AI-powered, data-driven applications and enterprise automation initiatives.
- Design and implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, including document ingestion, embeddings, vector search, and prompt engineering.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Data, and AI teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and operational excellence practices across the engineering lifecycle.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, performance, reliability, and responsible AI governance.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented programming languages with experience developing enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and cloud-native solutions.
- Expertise with Microsoft Azure, including development, deployment, and operational support of cloud-based applications.
- Experience designing and supporting RAG architectures, including document processing, chunking strategies, embeddings, vector search, and prompt optimization.
- Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI technologies, and enterprise AI solution patterns.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Infrastructure as Code, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or comparable AI frameworks and services.
- Knowledge of vector databases, enterprise search platforms, AI security, model governance, responsible AI practices, and enterprise software delivery.
Location expectationsThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
