Full Job Description
*This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Fullscope Polygraph clearance to be considered.*
ProSync is seeking a Software Engineer to join the team in support of the design, development, and maintenance of innovative software solutions for mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have experience or academic background in software development and a desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment. Preferred candidates will possess experience with C++, JavaScript, and Python and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a commitment to developing high-quality software applications. This position is available at both the Level 0 and Level 1 experience tiers.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and system components.
Collaborate with engineers, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement technical solutions.
Develop software using modern programming languages and development practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and integration challenges.
Participate in code reviews and software quality assurance activities.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and implementation guides.
Support system integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment efforts.
Follow established software engineering standards, processes, and best practices.
Contribute to Agile development activities, including sprint planning and team collaboration.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with less than four (4) years of experience in software engineering (OR) in lieu of a degree, a total of four (4) or more years of software engineering experience.
(Note: Software Engineer Level I's require a relevant Bachelor's degree or higher plus seven (7) years of software engineering experience (OR) in lieu of a degree, a total of eleven (11) or more years of software engineering experience.)
Experience with C++ development.
Experience with JavaScript development.
Experience with Python development.
Familiarity with software architecture, object-oriented programming, and modern development methodologies.
Experience working in Linux-based development environments.
Exposure to Agile software development practices.
An active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph is required.
