Make Your Mark:
We're looking for a driven and digitally fluent Assistant Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team and support the day-to-day running of BlackLine's social media channels, Podcast, and YouTube presence. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about B2B content, community building, and digital storytelling. You'll work closely with the Social Media Manager to help execute a channel strategy that amplifies BlackLine's brand, thought leadership, and product messaging across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, and beyond.

You'll Get To:

Social Media Management
  • Manage and schedule content across BlackLine's social channels using Hootsuite, ensuring a consistent and timely publishing cadence
  • Monitor social channels daily, engaging with comments, mentions, and community conversations to build brand presence
  • Track and report on channel performance using Hootsuite Analytics and platform-native insights, presenting findings to the wider team
  • Support the development and execution of organic social campaigns aligned to product launches, events, and always-on activity
  • Stay current with platform changes, trending content formats, and B2B social best practices to keep BlackLine's channels fresh and competitive Podcast Support
  • Provide end-to-end production support for BlackLine's podcast, including coordinating recording schedules, managing guest logistics, and liaising with the audio production team
  • Source and vet external speakers and guests Identifying relevant voices in finance, technology, and accounting, and managing outreach and onboarding
  • Create and repurpose podcast content into short-form social clips, quote cards, and promotional assets for distribution across channels
  • Maintain an organized content calendar and episode pipeline to ensure timely delivery YouTube Channel Management
  • Manage the BlackLine YouTube channel, including uploading, optimizing metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails), and maintaining playlist structure
  • Coordinate video production workflows, working with internal stakeholders, freelancers, and agency partners to ensure content is delivered on brief and on time
  • Monitor YouTube analytics and make data-driven recommendations to improve watch time, subscriber growth, and engagement
  • Support speaker and presenter sourcing for webinars, panel content, and video series
  • managing briefing documents and pre-production communication Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
  • Provide administrative support to the Social Media team, including managing shared inboxes, maintaining content libraries, and updating trackers and reporting templates
  • Liaise with internal teams (Demand Gen, Events, Product Marketing, PR) to gather content briefs and align social activity with the broader marketing calendar
  • Assist in the coordination of influencer or partner amplification activity where relevant


What You'll Bring:
  • Demonstrable experience managing social media channels in a professional or agency environment
  • Proficiency in Hootsuite: scheduling, publishing, and analytics (certification is a plus)
  • Experience supporting podcast production, including guest coordination and logistics
  • Hands-on experience managing a YouTube channel (uploads, SEO optimization, analytics)
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice across channels
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, comfortable juggling multiple workstreams
  • Proactive self-starter who can work independently and as part of a collaborative team

  • Familiarity with design tools such as Canva
  • Exposure to video editing tools (Opus, Capcut)
  • Understanding of SEO principles as applied to YouTube and social content

Salary Range:
$85,000.00-$107,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location.

In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.

We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring candidates have clear information about compensation expectations. For roles that include variable incentive components such as an Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) or On-Target Earnings (OTE), the compensation structure may follow a split model - for example, a 50/50, 70/30, or 60/40 ratio between base salary and variable incentive.

Candidates who live within a reasonable commute to one of our offices will work in the office at least 3 days a week.
